It's been forever.

It's been forever since I have had thrity minutes to sit down, relax, and blog about life.

After months and months of getting caught up on school work, the semester if finally winding down. Teachers are frantically assigning extra credit, throwing out last minute quizzes, and preparing their students for finals. While school is honestly the last thing on my mind, I have to force myself to make it a priority. Let's face it, the holidays are here and all I can think about is buying gifts, eating food, and going back to my hometown. Thanksgiving break is the ultimate tease. It's five days of fun and games and then back to the usually grind of things. Not to mention I only have two and a half more weeks of school left.

Most exciting part of Kansas!
I spent my Thanksgiving break in Keystone, CO with some amazing family members. I couldn't wait to spend some quality time with the people I love and enjoy a nice break from school. After a 15 hour road trip, we had finally made it to Keystone. Let me add some advice...if you ever go to Colorado, FLY! The drive was awful. Not only was it 15 hours, several of those hours were spent driving through the state of Kansas (aka: most boring state ever).

Most of the trip was spent relaxing at the house. On Friday, my dad, my uncle and I went skiing. I had been eight years since I slipped my tensie feet into ski boots and hit the slopes but I was determined to impress myself. But good news everyone! All the ins and outs of skiing came right back to me and I had a blast. I also woke up the next morning with gelatin legs and bruises out the whazoo but that's the price you gotta pay.

Keystone, CO.

Even though Thanksgiving break was a tease, it was a much needed tease. I seem to always forget how thankful I am. I have an amazing family that loves me. I have a best friend/boyfriend that supports me in everything and anything (and the fact that we miss each other 12 hours after being apart is crazy). I am so thankful to be surrounded by amazing people on a daily basis and couldn't ask for anything more. God is so great--here is proof!
